Amelia Island is full of rich history, and is the only location in America to have flown 8 independent flags. It’s rich history takes us on a journey through time including the Timucuan Indians who were our first inhabitants as far back as 2000 BC. The flags tell the story of religious struggle and persecution, the effect of Christianity disallowing any other God to be worshiped. The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. Smugglers, slave traders and pirates have all had a part to play in the evolution of this Islands growth. This fascinating tour will take you on a journey through time and show you how such a small barrier island has had a major and little know impact on the history of America. What To Expect

Amelia Island

The eight flags tour takes you on a historical journey through all of the locations that those flags have flown over the islands incredible history. The only location in America to have had this number of independent flags. You will travel through the historic downtown district and out to the original Fernandina. On our journey we will cover each of the flags, the period from which they flew and the historical significance behind all of those dates from a historical perspective.

It was Pet friendly. I was taking my mom to the island and she was able to bring her Chihuahua with her which made it special for her also the captain gave us very good information people we rode with were also very pleasant I liked the family friendly cruise at sunset very much my mother and I will cherish this memory. A trip to the island was on my mom’s bucket list and the cruise made it very memorable

Had a great time on Amelia Island. We decided to book this tour so we could learn more about the history of the city. -- Our guide was perfect personality, made us feel welcomed and provided great historical perspective.-- Worth the money and being in a cool a/c van has it's definite advantages in Florida. 👍

This was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide was fantastic and gave us much more history than you would expect on a trip like this. Plus it was cool with AC in the van - a real plus in summer. We plan to take many visitors on this tour to get to know our town!
