Eight Flags Road Tour

Overview
Amelia Island is full of rich history, and is the only location in America to have flown 8 independent flags. It’s rich history takes us on a journey through time including the Timucuan Indians who were our first inhabitants as far back as 2000 BC. The flags tell the story of religious struggle and persecution, the effect of Christianity disallowing any other God to be worshiped. The devastating impact of the Revolutionary war on the island and rebels acting in the name of higher power. Smugglers, slave traders and pirates have all had a part to play in the evolution of this Islands growth. This fascinating tour will take you on a journey through time and show you how such a small barrier island has had a major and little know impact on the history of America. Come and join us on a incredible passage through hundreds of years of incredible historical facts.

The best part of our experience was our guide, Daniel Daly. His knowledge of Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach is nothing short of amazing. And his friendly way of conveying it is a pleasure.

We really appreciate your taking the time to write a extremely complimentary review. The tours are always fun, but more so when there is an interaction and the riders get involved in the history of the Island. Thank you once again and hope to see you again soon.

Daniel was the essential tour guide. His knowledge of the island and it’s history was very impressive. We’ve learned a lot from him and his presentations were very informative and interesting. The van was very adequate and comfortable and we could not of asked for a better tour or tour guide. I would encourage anyone interested in learning about Amelia Island this is the tour for you. If you get Daniel you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and i spent a most enjoyable afternoon with Daniel. As a history buff i truly enjoy the company of someone that is passionate as am I. the love he had for what he does made us appreciate the history of Amelia Island far more than we had anticipated. If you enjoy chatting about the history of Amelia Island and history in general i suspect have Daniel give you a tour

Thank you very much for your comments. It is very much appreciated. I really enjoyed being out with you both and I learned lots about similarities between Amelia and your own location. A really enjoyable experience from a historical perspective and engaging conversation from you both. Thank you once again, as this feedback is what makes the research so worthwhile to undertake. I am truly delighted that you enjoyed the experience. Regards Daniel
