This is a fun-filled interactive walking tour of Greenwich Village's Italian neighborhood. See St. Anthony's Church, Raffetto's Pasta and then stroll MacDougal Street's Caffe Reggio. This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. What To Expect

St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

Greg was just great. I live in NYC and wanted a "team" activity for work. Something fun and easy. And that's just what I got. But more importantly, this is Greg's own business and you can tell - he loves what he does and gives it a very personal touch. Weaving in his own stories of family history, knowledge of architecture and NYC. But of course I haven't gotten to the most important part. The food - amazing! A really thoughtful selection of sweet and savory, desserts, beverages, meatballs. He had a great mix of places I had heard of but a whole lot of places I didn't know and have probably walked past quite a few times. Thanks, Greg, for opening a locals eyes to same great food places that otherwise get overshadowed by some of the food chains!

Loved hearing about Greg's memories of his visits to his Grandparents who lived on the streets we walked through. The places he took us to were charming and steeped in the culture of the neighborhood, giving us a true "old world" Italian experience. The food was Delizioso and in true Italian tradition, abundant! I would highly recommend this tour and I hope to experience another of Greg's tours in the future.

My daughter (middle school) and I had this tour on July 9, 2018. I highly recommend this tour and we had a wonderful time together. Especially, Gregg has a family history in this town (lived there 3-generations) and knows the area very well. This made this tour very rich and enjoyable. This tour is very fun!!
