We had a group of eight people, ranging in age from 13 to 75, and everyone had a great time with Greg. He was so knowledgeable and personable, but also funny and entertaining for our teenagers. He provided wonderful backgrounds about the old school places we visited for food so that we really got a feel for this old Italian neighborhood. The food samples were absolutely delicious and varied. We've been on other food tours and this is right at the top - highly recommended!.

Shannan Thanks for the 5-star rating and great endorsement. It was fun having your lively and fun family walk and eat, tour and explore with me. The age range of your family kept me on my toes to ensure your tummies and faces continued to smile along the tour. I continue to be grateful the old school laces of my neighborhood continue to add a sense of realness to the tours. Thanks and Happy 4th of July!

More than just the best Italian food of Greenwich Village, Greg provides the histories, and the back stories of the families and stores that you visit. His Italian heritage shows in his generous hospitality and warmth during the tour. It was a fun afternoon-watching his interactions with the locals. We actually felt like New Yorkers! We left with a much greater appreciation for the Italian heritage in New York. If you can only do one food tour-make it this one!

John, Thanks for your much-appreciated endorsement and 5-star review. I am quite fortunate that I get to interact with my local food tour shops in Italian and or Spanish. Speaking Italian keeps more connected to my Italian American heritage. Grazie! Greg

Hubby and I took this tour on June 26--thoroughly enjoyed it! It was a gorgeous day, and we were the only ones on that tour. So we asked lots of questions and learned about Greg's ties to this neighborhood--ties which go back more than 100 years. We visited seven establishments, each one a little gem. And at each stop Greg greeted the staff in Italian. He told us about the shops and the owners and their history. At each stop we had small tastings--more than samples. My favorites were the meatballs and the arancini. All the stops were within a six or seven-block area--I'm guessing here. I didn't come away "stuffed", as one reviewer wrote. It felt more like a light lunch. But there was plenty to eat--definitely more eating than walking. Five stars for sure!
