We booked a tour in advance via Liberty’s website. The day of our tour, we arrived early, and were told to wait outside 15 minutes- once we were allowed in to register, we realized there was a line up to check in followed by a subsequent wait for the flight. The entire process for a 15 min flight took 2 hours! We noticed that walk-ins were being passed ahead of us.
On our way out of the tour, we crossed paths with an agent affiliated with Liberty who was selling the tour for $200, all fees included. We were upset to hear this as the receptionist at Liberty had indicated and insisted that a $40 heliport fee was non-negotiable. We paid $240 per flight for 15 mins.
The rep outside explained that Liberty prioritozed walk-ins, given that pre-reserved flights were already paid for and a done deal.
Given the time we ended up dedicating to this activity as well as the premiun we paid, we left the tour feeling disgruntled.
Manhattan Helicopters is right next door to Liberty. The operation seemed to be smoother running and more efficient - we regretted our choice of company.
