Private Whitney Plantation, Museum of Slavery, and St Joseph Plantation Tour

Overview
This is a small narrated private tour by van, for groups of up to 12 travelers. At Whitney Plantation's Louisiana Museum of Slavery, see the harsh realities and raw historical facts of a dark side of American history. The slave narratives and artwork recreate the world of a pre-Civil War southern sugar plantation and memorial in honor of the lives of the enslaved people who toiled there. A short ride through sugar cane fields leads to St. Joseph Plantation, a Creole style family-owned working sugar cane plantation. Family members give a relaxed, intimate tour of their ancestral home and dependencies (including original slave cabins).

Great tour experience. John was a funny informative guide. Kept the ride interesting and showed us lots of fun facts along the way. Pick up and drop off from hotel & all locations was a plus. Highly recommended. Very interesting and emotional experience.

I booked Ms Isabelle through Viator. We ended up having to cancel our trip to St Joseph’s because they were filming but Ms Isabelle made sure to find another plantation to accompany Whitney. I wasn’t sure what to expect but my Expectations were exceeded. The entire time leading up to the trip, we were in constant communication. Ms Isabelle made everything so seamless. A complete professional. Our drive she narrated pointing on key sites within New Orleans. The van was clean and she even greeted us in our hotel lobby. They group was small and Covid guidelines adhered to. I highly recommend Ms Isabelle and her services. I had two teenagers and we were all taken care of. First class service

We absolutely loved our tour! St. Joseph Plantation gave them view point of slavery for the whites. It was a beautiful plantation filled with a charming family touch. The Whitney plantation truly stole the show! It portrayed the African American side of slavery in a beautiful, life changing perspective. The tour was raw and real, I would recommend anyone and everyone take the tour! Isabelle is the cherry on top! Best hospitality we have receive during our stay in New Orleans and we would do another tour with her in a heartbeat!
